About Animals and Possibly New Humans
People today do not have the same consciousness as those in the past who did not recognize slaves, Black people, and women as equal human beings. So will there come a day when carnivores are viewed as a different race? This session discusses the rights of animals, a carnivore diet, zoonoses and other animal issues and contexts closely related to daily life.

When talking of “ordinary humanity,” one might expect a healthy body and mind. But the distinction between body and mind is no longer clear, and the so-called standards for healthy and sound cannot explain the many kinds of ugly bodies and desires in the world. This session introduces recently published stories of the LGBTQ community and narratives on disabled people, exploring a “world beyond norms” that was commonly derided as “abnormal,” “sick,” or “perverted.”
