Drawing of the Summer
A variety of hands-on programs will be available in the Illustrators Room, which is set up to look like an illustration studio. Which of the pictures hanging here will be chosen as the “Drawing of the Summer”? Drawing of the Summer is a program that’s open to anyone who likes to draw. This is your chance to show off your work to the numerous visitors to the book fair and to collaborate with various publishers. Feel free to hang up a piece that’s special to you in the Illustrators Room. You can also check out a range of pieces by other illustrators, each with their own unique appeal!
Nonhuman Drawings
Illustrators who participate in the “Drawing of the Summer” program at the Seoul International Book Fair 2023 will have a chance to try out the Wacom Cintiq Pro 27. Don’t miss your chance to have a drawing you completed at the book fair posted on our social media accounts.
Interactive art programs
The Nonhuman Archive and Becoming Nonhuman are interactive art programs that deal with the theme of the Seoul International Book Fair 2023: NONHUMAN: Becoming Human Beyond Humanity.
Nonhuman Archive
Today, we are facing numerous problems resulting from excessive anthropocentrism, including the climate crisis. The multitude of creatures that are marginalized simply because they are not human are evoked through the freedom of the imagination and an array of colors.
Being Nonhuman
The experience of seeing nonhuman creatures that inhabit this universe through pictures and words, and even becoming nonhuman ourselves, can empower us to take a second look at the nonhumans around us and redefine our relationship with them.
