In Search of Sustainable Peace

The marginalized voices of women and children are featured in the 1985 book War’s Unwomanly Face by Nobel laureate Svetlána Alexiévich. This session discusses and forecasts women’s roles in the peace movement and activities on the Korean Peninsula. See the Demilitarized Zone and the development of war and peace through a daily lens as participants share new perspectives and methods for achieving sustainable peace.
