HAEPAARY relies on their intuition to extract and recompose the charms of Jongmyo Jeryeak, a ritual [combining dancing, singing, and] music dedicated to the royal ancestors of the Joseon Dynasty. Discover and enjoy the beauty of Korean traditional music in a world where opposing desires meet in a weighty yet lighthearted, strict yet liberated, and modest yet dance-inspiring combination.

ㅣPerformance: HAEPAARY

- Date/Time : November 1 (Wed) 16:00 - 17:00

Deep in the Sea: A song erasing boundaries

Interpreted though the duo’s unique lens, HAEPAARY performs namchang gagok—a piece of popular pungnyu music predominantly sung by men, and played within the four gates of Seoul during the 17th and 18th centuries. Through sounds that borrow the characteristic flexibility and languor of the traditional, [free-flowing] pungnyu genre, HAEPAARY invites us to imagine a world where the boundaries of music, gender, era, and even hierarchy, are erased.

ㅣPerformance: HAEPAARY

- Date/Time : November 3 (Fri) 16:00 - 17:00
