2018 Seoul International Book Fair Main Conference: Books. Humanity. Future

In an era where artificial intelligence learns and writes on its own, how will human writing and reading habits change? In a time when quick and easy information retrieval is possible through digital media, what does it mean to read a book? From oral transmission to print, and further into audio, virtual reality, and augmented reality, what will the future of books be as they expand across different media? At the main conference of the 2018 Seoul International Book Fair, we will pose questions about humanity and books and attempt to establish new definitions for publishing and reading. We will reflect on the past of books to contemplate the future and discuss points where various media can creatively coexist in the realms of creation and reading.
