“Come! See you at the Seoul International Book Fair.”

The Seoul International Book Fair is the largest book festival in Korea. It is the only event in the nation to bring Korea and the world together through books and it serves as a platform to connect writers, publishers, and readers.

SIBF provides opportunities for readers to encounter new releases through the “Summer, First Books” program. Visitors can get their hands on brand new books before anyone else and talk with the authors.

Exclusive special gifts are also available during the five days of SIBF. Limited Edition is an annual anthology by a number of authors on a single topic. Wondering about this year’s stories and contributors? Come and see.

Are you ready to be amazed by the colorful events and programs at SIBF?

SIBF provides a special opportunity to experience food with all five senses. The simmering and sizzling sounds and aromas will lure readers into the “Open Kitchen”. Discover cookbooks written by chefs and enjoy delectable cuisine!
If you’re dying for a taste, why not leave a little room for food?

Say Hello.

Come talk to book lovers from all over the globe. Don’t be shy. Friendly publishers from all around the world will welcome you.
Meet the writers from Hungary, this year’s Guest of Honor, and from Norway, which will be recognized to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties with Korea. Also in attendance are writers from Denmark and Sweden, the executive directors of 20 book fairs from across the world, and publishers from Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, China, and Thailand who are bringing independent publications. Curious to know what Argentina and Columbia are reading, what book clubs are like in the Czech Republic and Poland, and what efforts go into publishing quality books in Sweden and Italy? Come ask your new friends at SIBF: What kinds of books do you like?

Take Courage.

At this year’s SIBF, you’ll have a chance to meet people with special courage: the recipients of the Prix Voltaire. Established by the International Publishers Association in 2005, this award is presented to people or organizations that displays exemplary courage in upholding the freedom to publish. This year’s winner will be announced at SIBF. Not only that, recipients of the Golden Pen of Freedom Award, which recognizes the outstanding efforts of journalists to protect the freedom of speech, will also be in attendance to talk about their experiences. If you’ve ever had difficulty speaking up for a cause, take courage as you listen to their stories.
